A Founder’s Story
From a heartfelt need to a movement for families everywhere.
LifeWeaver was inspired after close friends experienced a life-changing tragedy. I was reminded how fragile life is and how precious our shared memories are. I began printing old text messages, hoping to preserve the laughter, encouragement, and love within them.
Our phones hold our stories, scattered across messages, photos, and posts. LifeWeaver gathers those pieces and weaves them into something beautiful and lasting.
Inspired by a Legacy

We are inspired by the remarkable example of Wilford Woodruff, who documented his life with faith, diligence, and love. His journals have blessed generations, reminding us that ordinary moments, faithful living, and family stories truly matter.
LifeWeaver carries forward that same spirit — helping modern families capture and preserve their stories for generations to come.

A Friend's Tragic Loss
After a close friend went through an unimaginable hardship, Marisa began reflecting deeply on the importance of memory. The experience inspired her to start manually saving meaningful digital messages because no simple tool existed at the time.
The WhatsApp Threads
Marisa discovered WhatsApp and created two family threads, one with her mom and sisters and another extended thread including her aunt Margie, cousins, and their families. The brother-in-laws affectionately named them the "WhittsApp" threads and the "World Wide Whittaker Web." These shared conversations became living journals of daily life and laughter, inspiring Marisa to imagine how technology could preserve such stories.
Inspiration Through Adversity
After becoming ill with what later diagnosed as Lyme disease, Marisa's workaholic pace came to a halt. During months of recovery, she immersed herself in the emerging world of artificial intelligence and digital preservation. The foundation of LifeWeaver began to take shape.
The Realization
On a Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., Marisa recognized that technology had finally evolved enough to make her vision possible: a platform that could weave digital memories into cohesive, living narratives.
LifeWeaver™
The next day, LifeWeaver was officially organized. The day after that, Marisa hired developers to begin building the first version of www.lifeweaver.ai while continuing her recovery from Lyme disease.
Official Beta Launch
LifeWeaver launched to the public, marking the beginning of a new era in digital storytelling built on compassion, innovation, and the desire to preserve the human story.
