LifeWeaver is built to help you preserve and reflect on your life. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the LifeWeaver Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

1. Quick Summary (Plain Language)

  • We do not sell your personal information as "sell" is defined under applicable privacy law.
  • We do not use your private journal content, personal memories, or voice recordings to train general-purpose AI models.
  • Integrations are optional and user-controlled.
  • You may request export or deletion of your account, subject to legal and backup retention requirements.
  • We use safeguards designed to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

2. Eligibility (18+ Only)

The Service is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will suspend the account and delete associated data consistent with our retention practices.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

A. Account Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Authentication credentials
  • Subscription and billing status

Payment details are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full credit card numbers.

B. User Content

Information you choose to upload, connect, or create within the Service, including:

  • Journal entries
  • Photos
  • Audio recordings
  • Notes
  • Connected data (such as calendar entries or email metadata)

C. Connected Account Data

If you connect third-party services, we collect data you authorize us to access based on the permissions you grant.

We do not store third-party account passwords.

D. Usage & Technical Data

  • Log data
  • Device information
  • Approximate location derived from IP address
  • Error reports and diagnostics

This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

4. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service
  • Generate requested features (including AI summaries and timelines)
  • Secure accounts and prevent fraud
  • Debug errors and improve reliability
  • Communicate about updates and support
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your private journal content, personal memories, or voice recordings to train general-purpose AI models.

We may use de-identified or aggregated usage metrics (such as feature performance or error rates) to improve system reliability and safety.

5. AI Processing

AI features may process your content to generate outputs for you.

AI systems are probabilistic and may produce inaccurate or incomplete outputs. AI outputs are not a factual record. See the Terms of Service for important limitations and disclaimers.

6. Sharing & Disclosure

We may share information with:

A. Service Providers

Hosting providers, payment processors, analytics tools, customer support tools, and other vendors that process data on our behalf under contract.

We maintain a list of service providers that may process personal data on our behalf. You can request the current list by emailing support@lifeweaver.ai. We may also publish updates at lifeweaver.ai/subprocessors.

B. Legal & Safety

If required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud.

C. At Your Direction

When you choose to share content publicly or with others.

We do not sell personal information as defined under applicable privacy law.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption used in transit and at rest for many data types in our primary systems.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Service
  • Maintain security and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

Retention periods vary by data type.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Export certain data
  • Request deletion of your account
  • Object to or restrict certain processing (where applicable)

Export & Deletion

You may request account deletion or data export through the Service or by contacting us.

We use commercially reasonable efforts to fulfill requests within a reasonable timeframe.

Deletion means removing content from active systems within a commercially reasonable period, subject to legal holds, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and encrypted backup retention cycles.

Important

  • Some information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups.
  • Certain data may be retained as required by law, for fraud prevention, or to establish or defend legal claims.

10. Social Sharing

Sharing features are optional and off by default.

If you share content publicly or to third-party platforms, it may be copied, cached, or archived by others. Deleting content in LifeWeaver does not remove it from external platforms.

11. International Transfers

Information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Service or by email.

The version and effective date appear at the top of this document.
