Born from personal reflection and inspired by family heritage, LifeWeaver is more than a company; it is a mission to preserve what matters most.
The idea for LifeWeaver began during a season of deep reflection after close friends of mine experienced a life-changing tragedy.
Witnessing their grief changed how I saw everything, reminding me how fragile life is and how precious our shared memories can be.
At the time, there was no simple way to preserve the digital conversations that hold so much of our real lives. I found myself scrolling through old texts messages, wanting to keep those moments close. So I printed them, page after page, hoping to capture the laughter, encouragement, and love that lived within those digital threads.
That experience became the seed for LifeWeaver. Our phones hold the story of who we are, scattered across messages, photos, and posts. LifeWeaver helps gather those pieces and weave them into something beautiful and lasting.

Weaving Your Past
Wilford Woodruff, Marisa's third great-grandfather- wrote more than 7,000 pages by hand over the course of his life. His journalism preserved not only history, but faith, family, and daily moments that might have otherwise been lost. His devotion to recording life's details created a bridge between generations, proving that a single person's story can shape thousands.
Marisa often thought about how Wilford's legacy might look in today's world. If he were alive now, his record would include voice notes, photos, texts, emails, and videos, a digital tapestry instead of paper journals. LifeWeaver was built to honor that same impulse: to preserve meaning, strengthen families, and help every person see their life as part of a much larger story.

A Friend's Tragic Loss
After a close friend went through an unimaginable hardship, Marisa began reflecting deeply on the importance of memory. The experience inspired her to start manually saving meaningful digital messages because no simple tool existed at the time.
The WhatsApp Threads
Marisa discovered WhatsApp and created two family threads, one with her mom and sisters and another extended thread including her aunt Margie, cousins, and their families. The brother-in-laws affectionately named them the "WhittsApp" threads and the "World Wide Whittaker Web." These shared conversations became living journals of daily life and laughter, inspiring Marisa to imagine how technology could preserve such stories.
Inspiration Through Adversity
After becoming ill with what later diagnosed as Lyme disease, Marisa's workaholic pace came to a halt. During months of recovery, she immersed herself in the emerging world of artificial intelligence and digital preservation. The foundation of LifeWeaver began to take shape.
The Realization
On a Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., Marisa recognized that technology had finally evolved enough to make her vision possible: a platform that could weave digital memories into cohesive, living narratives.
LifeWeaver™
The next day, LifeWeaver was officially organized. The day after that, Marisa hired developers to begin building the first version of www.lifeweaver.ai while continuing her recovery from Lyme disease.
Official Beta Launch
LifeWeaver launched to the public, marking the beginning of a new era in digital storytelling built on compassion, innovation, and the desire to preserve the human story.
